Jim Callis of MLB.com rated the players with the best tools in the Arizona Fall League, and he has named Mets middle infielder Luis Guillorme as the league’s best defender. The reason for the selection of Guillorme is due to he “stands out with his hands, quickness and instincts, which along with his solid arm allow him to make all the plays at any infield position.”
The praise for Guillorme would not end there with Callis even asserting he is a better defender that Amed Rosario, who is a terrific defender in his own right. Certainly, those skills were at hand during the season when Guillorme made this amazing play:

In addition to Guillorme, catching prospect Tomas Nido was listed under the players considered. Nido has built a reputation as a strong defensive catcher who handles pitching staffs well and has a big arm behind the plate.
The defense of Guillorme and Nido was a big part of the reason why the Rumble Ponies were so good this past season making it to the Eastern League postseason. It’s also a reason why both are considered top prospects in the Mets organization.
