Toffey, healthy after offseason shoulder surgery, drove in his first run of the season with a single in the third. - RHP Adonis Uceta (0-1, 13.50) .2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, ER, BB, K
Mazza, a minor league Rule 5 pick, started on the hill for Binghamton and turned in a fine first start of the season. He allowed two runs, both in the third, sat six hitters down with strikeouts, and only allowed two free bases. Of Mazza’s five hits allowed, none of them went for extra bases. Jones and Blackham combined for four innings of one-run baseball out of the pen, but Uceta gave up two runs in the bottom of the 11th including the walk-off.

The St. Lucie bats did not do much on Friday night, recording just six hits and two runs against the Marauders. The rehabbing d’Arnaud recorded another hit and has reached base in three of his eight plate appearances over the course of two games. Vasquez doubled, the lone extra base hit for the Mets. Quinn Brodey drove in the other run, while Desmond Lindsay saved a few with three stellar catches in center field.

- RHP Blake Taylor (0-0, 0.00): IP
Wilson toed the rubber for his first professional start and went five innings, allowing his fair share of base runners. The Mets’ bullpen picked up Wilson’s slack, as the three relievers combined to go four scoreless innings with five strikeouts and only two hits allowed.

Injury Notes: Chambers was lifted after jamming his right hand into the third base bag on the slide at the end of his triple in the third inning. CF Ranfy Adon left the game in the ninth inning after squaring around to bunt and taking the ball to the face.
Ronny Mauricio have a day! The recently-turned-18-year-old prospect recorded two hits and reached base four times on the game. Vientos took an 0-3 but managed a walk. RiverDog pitching notched 14 strikeouts on the evening and stranded seven runners on base.

Butto labored through his first start of the season. The righty failed to go more than three innings and departed having thrown 70 pitches. He was relieved by Oxford, who shut down the Charleston offense and got Columbia through the fifth with no more damage done. Viall’s first relief outing since 2017 saw him strike out a pair, but give up a run in the process. Mitchell, a 2018 draft pick, worked around four baserunners to allow just one run.
