New York Mets 2017 16th round draft pick Raphael Gladu has been on a hot streak, and he is setting records for the Columbia Fireflies.
In yesterday’s game 3-2 win against the Charleston RiverDogs, Gladu was 2-for-4 with a triple.
With those two hits, Gladu has extended his own club record hitting streak to 14 straight games.
This streak is a pleasant surprise, and it is an indication a player who struggled mightily in April (.215/.253/.253) has made the necessary adjustments to succeed at this level.
During this 19 game streak streak, Gladu is hitting .354/.434/.477 with four doubles, two triples, and 12 RBI.
