As many will tell you, Guillorme is the best defensive shortstop prospect in the Mets farm system.
Yes, even better than Amed Rosario. Personally, what I find most impressive is the fact that he didn’t even flinch. While everyone is scurrying to find shelter in the dugout, he’s calmly and coolly grabbing a bat mid-flight and tossing it back to the batter. This is certainly a play we will see over and over again.
The only question that remains is whether this is a Gold Glove or a Silver Slugger type of play.
