The Scottsdale Scorpions lost on Saturday to the Surprise Saguaros by a 6-3 score. The loss drops them to an Arizona Fall League worst 5-12.
Champ Stuart was the highlight of the game for Mets fans as he went 2 for 3 with a double, walk, stolen base, run scored and a strikeout. He’s now hitting .375/.412/.531 with two doubles, five stolen bases and a 2 BB/8 K in nine games.
The miserable AFL season continued for Mets prospect Matt Oberste who is now 0 for 23 without a walk and has struck out seven times after going 0 for 4.
Marcos Molina struggled in his fourth Arizona Fall League appearance coming back from Tommy John surgery. He allowed three earned runs on on two hits, three walks, and a strikeout in 2.2 innings. Molina has a 5.59 ERA in 9.2 AFL innings.
Gavin Cecchini hasn’t appeared in a game since fouling a ball of his foot on Wednesday.
